DAY 1 - Arrival in Quito

As soon you arrive to Quito an airport representative will be waiting for you at your airplane gate; he will assist during the migration and customs procedures. After customs a representative of Link Experiences will be waiting for you at Quito’s airport in order to welcome and accompany you during the transfer from airport to hotel. Quito’s airport is located 40 minutes away from the main city. Day at leisure to rest. Accommodation Quito Meals included: Breakfast

DAY 2 - Golf in Quito and Historic Centre

After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit the Middle of the World Monument (Monumento a la Mitad del Mundo), located at 0o0’0” latitude. Take a picture with your feet on both hemispheres before touring the Intiñan Museum, where you’ll see various demonstrations of gravity and balance manifested in the equatorial zone. This is a really fun and interactive museum. Enjoy lunch at the top of the Pululahua Crater After lunch, discover Quito’s beautiful Historic Center (Centro Histórico), named World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Quito is a city rich in history, concealing the most fascinating legends, forbidden love stories, political insurrection plans, and much more. Learn about the different architecture styles in the Old Town, stroll through cobblestoned streets and meet artisans who’ve kept traditions alive for centuries. Take a private visit to La Compañia, San Francisco and Basilica churches and experience an exclusive tasting of the best chocolate in the world, Ecuadorian Chocolate! DAY 3 - Golf in Quito and Guayasamín Museum

After breakfast, a local guide will pick up you at the hotel in order to hit the road to the South of the Andes cordillera. If the weather allows it, you will be able to spot the Cotopaxi volcano. This is a beautiful snow capped formation, one of the tallest active volcanoes in the world. The scenery is beautiful, and during Humboldt’s scientific visits he called it the “Avenue of the Volcanoes.” You will visit the Cotopaxi National Park and walk around the Limpiopungo lagoon. If conditions allow it, climb to the Jose F. Rivas refuge, located at 4,800 meters. It is a 45 minute-hike from the parking lot. Enjoy lunch at a local Hacienda. Afternoon at leisure at the hacienda. DAY 4 - Cotopaxi

After breakfast, your local guide will take you to the quaint little town of Baños, at the bottom of the Tungurahua volcano. After that, visit the avenue of the cascades until you reach the powerful “Pailón del Diablo.” Enjoy lunch while absorbing the beauty of the views of Baños at Café del Cielo. Continue your journey until you reach Riobamba. This small city is located right at the heart of Ecuador. Accommodation Riobamba Meals included: Breakfast, lunch

DAY 5 - Baños – Riobamba

After breakfast, your local guide will take you to the quaint little town of Baños, at the bottom of the Tungurahua volcano. After that, visit the avenue of the cascades until you reach the powerful “Pailón del Diablo.” Enjoy lunch while absorbing the beauty of the views of Baños at Café del Cielo. Continue your journey until you reach Riobamba. This small city is located right at the heart of Ecuador. Accommodation Riobamba Meals included: Breakfast, lunch

DAY 6 - Riobamba – Cuenca

After breakfast, your local guide will take you to the quaint little town of Baños, at the bottom of the Tungurahua volcano. Comfortable and warmer clothes are required for stays in Quito and Andean mountain areas. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sun glasses, one small backpack, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.

ABOUT THE GOLF CLUBS AND GOLF COURSES

Arrayanes Country Club has an exclusive 18 holes / par 71 golf course, with 34 hectares of soft field. Its original design is from Jaime Villegas architect’s studio.

 

The golf course offers a challenging round of 6,600 yards with narrow but well defined fairways, middle size greens protected by bunkers and water. This course is suitable for all type of players, from amateurs to professionals. The Andean views are breathtaking through all the round, in addition to the good weather conditions during all year around.

 

Los Cerros Golf Club is the only one in the country mainly focused on Golf. It has an 18 holes golf course, with a 7163 yards extension, with privileged landscapes, highlighting Quito to the northeast; Cotopaxi volcano (active) to the south and to the east the Antisana (ecological reserve).

 

Los Cerros is located in Los Chillos Valley, a 30-minutes’ drive from Quito and its situated at an altitude of 2650 m.s.n.m.

 

The golf course is a par 72 and was designed by Rafael y Jaime Villegas, renowned Colombian architects with extensive experience in international golf courses design. The course is surrounded by lakes and an interesting topography that challenges and delights players.

 

NOTES: Availability of golf courses is subject to confirmation with private Clubs. The itinerary may be switched or golf courses repeated for reasons that include but are not limited to: course maintenance, difficult weather conditions or scheduled tournaments.
