Visit the cloud forest in pure luxury and let indulge in fine dining surrounded by the magic of nature. End the adventure at the famous Otavalo indigenous market.

DAY 1 - QUITO

As soon you arrive to Quito an airport representative will be waiting for you at your airplane gate; he will assist during the migration and customs procedures. After customs, a representative of Link Experiences will be waiting for you at Quito’s airport in order to welcome you and accompany you during the transfer from airport to hotel. Quito’s airport is located 40 minutes away from the main city.

DAY 2 - QUITO CITY TOUR

Discover Quito’s beautiful Historic Center (Centro Historico), named World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a journey through time. Quito is a city rich in history, concealing the most fascinating legends, forbidden love stories, political insurrection plans, and more. Learn about the different architecture styles in the Old Town.

During your tour, you will have the opportunity to visit some “holes in the wall” like the “Jugos de la Sucre,” a traditional natural juice shop with some of the healthiest and most delicious juice combinations. You will also have the chance to meet a confectionary maker who keeps this sweet tradition alive. His friendly demeanor and the store’s delicious aromas will bring you closer to a must-see side of Quito’s soulful past.

Lunch will be served at a traditional food restaurant with a perfect introductory Ecuadorian menu for you.

In the afternoon, visit Galletti Coffee Shop, located inside the iconic Bolivar Theatre in Old Town. Here you will be able to taste different types of Ecuadorian coffee beans in a magical environment.

Finally, we will be able to take a chocolate class to learn about the Ecuadorian fine aroma cacao, one of the best in the world.

DAY 3 - MIDDLE OF THE WORLD

After an early breakfast at the hotel, your local guide will pick you up to go North to visit the Middle of the World Monument (Monumento a la Mitad del Mundo), located at 0o0’0” latitude. Take a picture with your feet on both hemispheres! You will also have the chance to visit the Itiñan Museum, a cultural and educational center for cosmic and scientific research on the natural effects of being in the middle of the world.

For lunch, visit another Ecuadorian restaurant where you will meet the chef and learn how to make some traditional dishes. The class will be a fusion of modern cooking techniques with ancestral ways of preparation.

DAY 4 - MASHPI

Transfer from hotel to Mashpi Lodge in the amazing cloud forest, a couple of hours away from Quito. Enjoy the sophisticated and strikingly-contemporary Lodge, designed as the ideal springboard for exploring the unique world of the Mashpi Reserve, located at the heart of the Equatorial Chocó Bio-Region, regarded as one of the planet’s most important “hot spots” of biodiversity, just three hours from Quito, the capital of Ecuador.

Visit to the archaeological site of Tulipe.

Night walk in the jungle

DAY 5 - MASHPI

Hike in the jungle to experiment the primary forest.

Visit the observation tower to admire the magical views of the jungle.

DAY 6 -OTAVALO

After an early breakfast, continue North of the country. The scenery is gorgeous, and if the Cayambe is not feeling shy, you will be able to see the snowcapped volcano in its full splendor. On the road, you will be able to taste warm backed goodies, like “bizcochos” and fresh cheese.

Continue your trip to Otavalos’ Ponchos Indigenous Market, considered the largest indigenous market in the Americas. Here you will be able to shop textiles, carvings, pottery, jewelry and more, all made by skillful artisans.

Enjoy a warm homemade lunch at the beautiful Hacienda Cusín.

At night, enjoy a farewell dinner in Quito at one of the best restaurants in the city.

DAY 7 - QUITO

After breakfast, your guide will go with you to the airport for your international flight.

Comfortable and light clothes, wind breaker jacket, bathing suit and comfortable walking shoes are convenient when visiting the Amazon, while warmer clothes are required for stays in Quito and Andean mountain areas. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sun glasses, one small backpack, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
