DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN QUITO

As soon you arrive to Quito, the beautiful capital of Ecuador, an airport representative will be waiting for you at your airplane gate; he will assist during the migration and customs procedures. After customs a Link Experiences representative will be waiting for you with a special welcome gift and to accompany you during the transfer from the airport to hotel. Quito’s airport is located 40 minutes away from the main city.

DAY 2 - QUITO

After breakfast, your local guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you to visit the Middle of the World Monument (Monumento a la Mitad del Mundo), located at 0o0’0” latitude. Take a picture with your feet on both hemispheres! Continue the tour to the Intiñan Museum where you can see various demonstrations of natural phenomena, gravity and balance manifested in the equatorial zone. This is a really fun and interactive museum. Have lunch at the top of the Pululahua crater. After lunch, discover Quito’s beautiful Historic Center (Centro Histórico), named World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. Quito is a city with a rich history, hiding the most fascinating legends, forbidden love stories, political insurrection plans, and more. Learn about the different architecture styles in the Old Town, stroll through cobblestoned streets and meet artisans who’ve kept traditions alive for centuries. Take a private visit to the cupolas of the outstanding church of La Compañia and experience an exclusive tasting of the best chocolate in the world!

DAY 3 - OTAVALO

After an early breakfast, your private guide will take you to North of the country. The scenery is gorgeous, and if the Cayambe is not feeling shy, you will be able to see the snowcapped volcano in its full splendor. On the road, you will be able to taste warm backed goodies, like “bizcochos” and fresh cheese. We will stop to visit one of the lovely rose plantations in Cayambe. Unravel the hundreds of beautiful colors and aromas at this paradise of flower production. Enjoy a warm homemade lunch at a local hacienda. Continue your trip to Otavalos’ Ponchos Indigenous Market, considered the largest indigenous market in the Americas. Here you will be able to shop textiles, carvings, pottery, jewelry and more, all made by skillful artisans. Back to Quito Hotel in the oldtown.

DAY 4 - COTOPAXI VOLCANO

After breakfast, a local guide will pick up you at the hotel in order to hit the road to the South of the Andes cordillera. If the weather allows it, you will be able to spot the Cotopaxi volcano. This beautiful snow capped volcano, is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world. The scenery is beautiful, and during Humboldt’s scientific visits he called it the “Avenue of the Volcanoes.” You will visit the Cotopaxi National Park and walk around the Limpiopungo lagoon. Enjoy lunch at a local Hacienda. Return to Quito Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY 5 - PAPALLACTA THERMAL POOLS

Depart from the hotel to the Papallacta natural hot springs, located on a valley a couple of miles away from the airport. Absorb the beauty of the ecological reserve, have lunch and treat yourself with a well-deserved natural hot springs bath. In the afternoon, go to your hotel next to the airport Meals included: breakfast, lunch

DAY 6 - AIRPORT

Your guide will take you to the airport for your international flight

Comfortable and light clothes, windbreaker jacket, bathing suit and comfortable walking shoes are convenient when visiting Galapagos, while warmer clothes are required for stays in Quito and Andean mountain areas. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sun glasses, one small backpack, a hat and mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
